Kapitel 12 - Unbreakable, Sinplus

„On your left hand. What does MH stand for?“ Han nickade mot min tatuering på vänster hand, på ovansidan mellan tummen och pekfingret. „Sorry if I’m asking.“

Jag blev förvånad att han ens hade sett den.

„No, no, no problem. It’s Melanie Holly.“ Jag kom på att vi inte hade presenterat oss. „That’s my name.“

Han log, och sträckte fram handen mot mig.

„I’m Liam. Liam Payne.“

Jag skrattade, och skakade hans hand. Jag blev förvånad över hur bra det kändes.

„It’s very nice to meet you, Liam.“

Liams POV

I smiled at her. She apparently didn’t know who I was.

„So, Melanie... are you living here in London?“

She shook her head.

„Only for the moment. I’m actually...“

Her phone interrupted us.

I wanna be drunk when I wake up

On the right side of the wrong bed

And every excuse I made up

Tell you the truth I hate

She sighed, but then grinned at me.

„What a timing.“

She glanced at the screen, and looked at me.

„Sorry. I gotta take this.“

I smiled widely.

„No problem.“

She put the phone to her ear, and started to talk some wierd language. I gave up my tryings to get out something of the conversation. Instead I spent my time watching her. I did recognize the she actually was really beautiful - she had perfect, straight and long, brown hair, and blue eyes who were sparkling like the sea in sunlight. Her lips did move really fast as she talked, and her long eyelashes were flittering up and down as she blinked. I had to catch myself. You just met her Liam! Don’t be stupid now, don’t ya? I knew it was right. I did barely know her name. But I still couldn’t stop the butterflies in my stomach from flying around like crazy.

As she hung up, I looked curiously at her.

„What did you just talk about? I didn’t understand a word.“

She grinned

„ I believe you didn’t. It was one of my friends home in Sweden.“

My jaw dropped.

„You’re swedish?“

She laughed at my - probably kinda wierd - expression.

„I was just about to tell you when I got interrupted. I’m just here for summer holiday.“

I felt how I became a little bit disappointed, but I tried hard not to show it.

„So how long are you staying?“

„Two months. I came here monday.“

I began to feel rather happy again.

„Cool.“

She smiled.

„Yes. I’ve been looking forward to this for so long.“ She paused, and then looked curiously at me. „How yourself?“

I really had to fight the surprised smile who wanted to come out of me. She really didn’t know who I was.

„I’m originally from a city called Wolverhampton. But I’m living here in London now.“

She nodded.

„I wanna move here too. After high school, when I...“

A buzzing sound interrupted her. She let her hand slide into her pocked, and pick up her phone. She furrowed her eyebrows when she saw the message, and then looked genuinly apologetically at me.

„Sorry, I gotta go. I totally forgot my date with Lyss.“

I felt like I’d swallowed a stone. Of course she had a boyfriend. But I put on a smile.

„Lyss?“

My Boyfriend. I just waited for her to say it out loud. She grinned.

„Alyssa, my cousin. Girls shopping-night, you know.“

She winked at me, and I smiled widely. Cousin. But the stone in my stomach was still there. Just because she just mentioned her cousin didn’t mean she didn’t have a boyfriend. I stood up to say goodbye.

„Hope you’ll have great fun then. It was a pleasure to meet you.“

She pulled her fingers trough her hair, and looked me in the eyes.

„Agree. And thank you so much for the milkshake!“

Before I’d say something more, or even ask for her number, she gave me one last smile and disappeared through the doors.

And I knew that this was probably the last time I ever met her.
